How to measure for a stump shrinker
Last updated on
All stump shrinkers require three circumferential measurements. First it's important when using a fabric tape measure to make sure you don't pull the ends too tight. This can cause you to order a stump shrinker that is too small for your residual limb. Second, try to make sure that the tape measure lays horizontal and not on an angle. And last, take your time. Don't hesitate to measure your residual limb a few times. The bottom measurement is always the toughest to acquire, yet the most important.
