Have you ever wanted to start prioritizing your health but didn’t know where to begin? There is so much that needs to be done, so you become overwhelmed and put it off for another day. This is why Health Empowerment Day (observed annually on September 9th) was created.

However, the motivation you gain on that day needs to carry over to the following months and years until being health empowered becomes a lifestyle. So, we suggest taking a month to familiarize yourself with what you need to do: research the best treatment options for your needs, schedule that appointment you’ve been delaying with your doctor, prosthetist, or physical therapist, or finally begin that healthy habit, whether it’s eating more fruits and vegetables or starting an exercise routine.
What is Health Empowerment Day?
Health Empowerment Day is an annual awareness event created by Healthgrades, a healthcare information provider, aimed at inspiring and empowering individuals—especially those with chronic conditions—to become more confident, informed, and in control of their healthcare.
This yearly observance encourages proactive actions, such as scheduling routine check-ups, adopting healthy habits, and voicing health concerns.
