STEP 1: Find your size

Measure the circumference 2 inches up from the bottom of your limb in centimeters and select the closest size. For example, if your residual limb measures 24 cm, please select size "24". **Sizes are in centimeters.

Never choose a liner size that exceeds your measurement. Example: If the residual limb measures 24.5 cm at the indicated location, choose Encore size 24 not size 26. Selecting the correct size is very important.

If you're in-between sizes, we suggest remeasuring again to be on safe side. If the size you arrived at after measuring seems too big or small, in some cases it helps to use the size of your current liner as a very rough guide. Your existing liner may have the size printed on the front. Continue to STEP 2: Length

When measuring your thigh, pay special attention to how tight you take your measurement. It's best to pull the ends of your tape measure somewhat tight and then release. Your goal is to find a middle ground of how much tension you should apply to your measuring tape. Too tight and too loose will both result in a poorly fitting prosthetic liner.

Thermo-Ply Encore V Liner Description

Prosthetic liners are a valuable component of your "prosthetic system".  A prosthetic liner must preserve skin integrity, provide the appropriate degree of cushion, prevent pistoning, and most importantly offer durability.

Gel

The Encore V Liner was skillfully engineered to meet the demands of today's prosthetic users. Thermo-Ply's team evaluated each requirement and made improvements on today's designs. First, Encore Liner V uses a similar thermoplastic Gel (TPE) as other manufacturers, however they added Mineral Oil Gel to their formula. By enriching TPE gel with Mineral Oil Gel, the Encore V is able to offer durability and provide relief for a number of different skin conditions. Mineral oil gel can safely lubricate and limit moisture from escaping your skin, while TPE adds durability.

Offered in 6mm Uniform Gel thickness in the front and 3mm in the back.

Fabric

The Encore V Liner in manufactured using two very different fabrics.  The lighter front panel is a soft fabric that provides multi-directional stretch.  And the darker back panel is a heavier fabric intended to eliminate stretch length-wise to stop chafing and "pistoning".  Each unique fabric has been specially treated to provide a soft and smooth high-end finish.

The Encore V Locking Prosthetic Liner is designed for use with either pin or lanyard locking systems. This locking liner does not include either a pin or lanyard strap. 

Thermo-Ply recommends that the Encore V Cushion Liner be used in conjunction with the Encore Meridian Sleeve. Using this combination should create a suction (vs. vacuum) fit.

You can retrofit most Alps, Ossur, and OWW prosthetic liners with an Encore V Liner.

    Thermo-Ply Encore V Liner Materials

    Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) material enriched with Medical Grade Mineral Oil Gel

    Directions for Use

    Wash and dry your residual limb. To put the Encore V Prosthetic Liner on, roll this prosthetic product up from the bottom versus pulling it on. For removal, roll the prosthetic liner from the top down.

    Care Instructions

    Thermo-Ply recommends that this prosthetic liner be hand washed with mild soap and water (or washed in a gentle machine cycle) after each use. Rinse thoroughly. Do Not bleach. After washing, pat excess water off with a towel and lay flat to air dry 24-36 hours. Turn it inside out to thoroughly dry. If you want to machine dry your prosthetic liner, dry on air dry/low temperature setting. Turn repeated process should be done on 20 minute intervals. It’s not advisable to wear or store your Thermo-Ply Encore V Liner when damp. It is suggested by Thermo-Ply that amputees use an alternate fresh liner while the other one is being washed and dried.

    Precautions

    Do not place your Thermo-Ply Encore V Liner on an open wound. If irritation, discomfort or poor circulation occurs, discontinue use and notify your physician or Prosthetist immediately. Do not wear an Encore V Liner for more than 20 hours daily.
