STEP 1: Circumference & Length

Measure the circumference around your thigh above your below-knee prosthesis and any prosthetic supplies. Next, measure the length from the back of your heel while flat on the floor to above your prosthesis and supplies. Continue to STEP 2: Find your size

Take both your circumference and length measurements and use this chart to determine your size.

The circumference is the most critical measurement, when trying to determine your correct size. If the length is too long, you do have the option of trimming your prosthetic cover. It feel too big, however once under vacuum, your Dry Pro will fit better.

When taking body measurements, you need to use the correct type of tape measure. You will want to use a soft cloth or flexible plastic  tape measure, similar to what a seamstress uses. Do not use a metal measuring tape, used in construction (your measurements will be inaccurate).  Please don't guess, if you still have your sock packaging you can refer to the packaging size tab.  Pay special attention not to pull your measuring tape too tight.  Doing so will produce a measurement that is too small.

How to Measure

Measuring Circumference: Measure the circumference of your thigh 2 inches above any prosthetic sleeve, liners or socks. Do not measure around your prosthetic leg.

Measuring Length: Measure from the heel of the foot to the top end, above your prosthetic supplies. It is okay if the Dry Pro Waterproof Prosthetic Cover measurement is longer then your leg measurement. The prosthetic cover will still work and any extra length will be removed when the vacuum seal is created.

Pro Tip

The manufacturer of the DryPro Waterproof Cover states you may trim your prosthetic cover with a sharp scissors. However, before trimming please try the cover on and remove all air. Once the cover is on properly, grab a marker and mark on the cover where you want to trim. Make sure that you trim above your prosthetic sleeve, liner, socks and so on. After marking, take the cover off and lay flat on a table. With scissors in hand, begin trimming your cover.

Care Instructions

Store your DryPro in a cool dry place. After each use, rinse with warm water without soap. Carefully wipe off excess water with a soft towel and leave to dry flat. Lightly dust with talc before putting away. Do not attempt to machine dry and definitely do not iron.

Precautions

The Waterproof Prosthetic Cover is not intended for Above-the-Knee prosthetic devices. If you have latex allergies, do not use this cover. Please never use Dry Pro with a Micro Processor Controlled Knee, ie C-Leg, Rheo Knee and so on.
