Measure the circumference of your limb 5cm up from the bottom and around your knee cap. Continue to STEP 2: Find your size

When measuring your thigh, pay special attention to how tight you take your measurement. It's best to pull the ends of your tape measure somewhat tight and then release. Your goal is to find a middle ground of how much tension you should apply to your measuring tape. Too tight and too loose will both result in a poorly fitting prosthetic liner.

Conversely, cold therapy, also applied for 15-20 minutes, aims to reduce inflammation and numb neuropathic pain, best used after physical exertion or as the day concludes. It's essential to use a prosthetic sock underneath your Therapeutic Liner and to ensure the temperature is safe to prevent skin damage, particularly for those with reduced sensation.

How-to Use

Cold Therapy

  1. 1. Place your Therapeutic Liner in its chill bag and into a freezer or refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours.
  2. 2. Return your Therapeutic Liner to the freezer for 30 minutes before reapplying.

Heat Therapy

  1. 1. Microwave your Therapeutic Liner on high for 20 seconds outside of its chill bag.
  2. 2. If necessary, continue microwaving for additional 10 second intervals until the desired safe temperature is reached. Do not overheat.

Apply a lightweight or thicker ply prosthetic sock onto your limb and slide your Hot and Cold Therapeutic Liner over the prosthetic sock.

Care Instructions

Clean with damp cloth or wipe down with anti-bacterial wipe. Always store your Therapeutic Liner in its protective plastic chill bag while in the freezer. Do not machine wash, bleach, dry clean, or iron.

Precautions

The Hot & Cold Therapeutic Liner should not be applied for longer than 20 minutes. Do not apply directly to your skin, always use a prosthetic sock underneath. Do not wear this liner within your prosthesis. Do not submerge in water.

Always consult a medical professional. For external use only. Do not use on sensitive skin, insensate skin or open wounds. Do not apply directly to bare skin, but rather over a prosthetic sock.

Always test the temperature prior to application. Overheating or prolonged application may cause injury to your limb including burns. Heating for longer than recommended may result in physical injury or damage to your microwave.

If the product causes irritation, discomfort or poor circulation, discontinue use and notify your physician. If you have diabetes, neuropathy or poor circulation, consult a medical professional before using. Consult a physician before using cold and hot therapy. Keep product out of the reach of children and pets. If gel covering becomes compromised and gel contacts the body, wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.
