STEP 2: Find your size

Take your bottom measurement and use the chart to determine your size. If you're in-between sizes, we suggest remeasuring again to be on the safe side. If the size you arrived at, after measuring seems too big or small, in some cases it helps to use the size of your current liner as a very rough guide. The size may be printed on the liner. Continue to STEP 3: Length

When measuring your thigh, pay special attention to how tight you take your measurement. It's best to pull the ends of your tape measure somewhat tight and then release. Your goal is to find a middle ground of how much tension you should apply to your measuring tape. Too tight and too loose will both result in a poorly fitting prosthetic liner.

Alps Eco Prosthetic Liner

A comfortable socket and functional prosthesis often begins with your prosthetic liner. The Alps Eco Liner was thoughtfully engineered to meet the demands of today's moderate to high activity prosthetic users. The Eco Liner was aptly named due to its environmentally friendly seamless outer fabric knitting process that requires less energy.

Benefits

  • Alps' HD Gel formula offers the performance of silicone along with the comfort of gel
  • HD Gel works well for amputees with softer or less firm residual limbs or extra (redundant) tissue
  • Available in both Below-Knee and Above-Knee sizing
  • Designed for moderate to high activity prosthetic users
  • Uniform 3mm and 6mm thickness profile for both Cushion and Locking versions
  • Knitted seamless outer covering offers a premium feel and added stability
  • Latex free and hypoallergenic
  • Beige color
  • Locking pin is not included
  • *Not vacuum approved as a replacement for the gel liner initially provided with your Vacuum System
  • Made in USA
  • Sold individually in a polybag

Suggested Use

Alps' team evaluated each requirement and formulated this Alps liner with their HD Gel Formula. HD Gel lessens the vertical and shear stresses your residual limb experiences while walking due to its firmer nature. The unique bottom configuration lessens gel stretch, thereby reducing distraction or pulling on your limb. Firmer HD Gel permits greater control of your prosthesis while protecting your limb from the stressor of wearing and walking with a prosthesis.

Eco Liner sizing is available for both BK and AK limb loss, in two different uniform thicknesses, 3mm and 6mm. Options also include either cushion or locking (pin lock.)

Read our Prosthetic Liner Guide for more information on prosthetic liners.

How to Install

Invert your Alps prosthetic liner so that the logo is on the inside. Place the end of your liner against the end of your limb. If using a pin lock liner, center the pin attachment on the bottom of your limb. Carefully roll your liner onto your limb.

***Warning: Do not pull your liner onto your limb. Pulling the liner may stretch the skin and result in an uncomfortable fit and possible skin issues along the edge of your liner. Last, make sure that there are no wrinkles or air pockets between the liner and your limb. Air pockets cause excessive sweating.

Care Instructions

Proper hygiene is critical when wearing any prosthetic liner. Your Alps Eco Liner must be thoroughly cleaned each day and disinfected once a week. Clean the gel side of your Eco Liner using lukewarm water and a pH balanced prosthetic cleanser. Apply your prosthetic cleanser with a clean, soft cloth or sponge.

**Warning: Do not scrub your liner on either the fabric or gel sides.

Rinse the Alps HD Gel with water and dry it with a clean and lint-free cloth. Place your Eco Liner on a drying stand with the logo on the outside.

Once a week spray the gel side of your liner with ethyl alcohol spray and wipe clean with a lint-free soft cloth. Last, rinse any alcohol from your liner with water and dry again using the above instructions.
