Alps Fitting Lotion is a compression stocking donning aid formulated with 100% silicone, the same as ALPS Silicone Skin Lotion. Using Alps Fitting Lotion will makes the strenuous task of applying support hosiery, compression arm sleeves or prosthetic shrinkers easier.
Applying Alps Fitting Lotion before donning your prosthetic shrinker makes it easier to apply your shrinker yourself with less discomfort. Its 100% Silicone formulation enables your prosthetic shrinker to glide over your sensitive limb. Alps Fitting Lotion also creates a barrier over your skin, preventing moisture loss and thereby keeping your skin hydrated.
It is suggested to use Alps Fitting Lotion is your residual limb is sensitive to touch or donning a prosthetic shrinker is uncomfortable.
Add a small amount of Alps Fitting Lotion to the lower two thirds of your residual limb. Apply this silicone lotion evenly onto your skin, however do not completely massage into the skin before donning your shrinker.
