Comfort Prosthetic Sheath

Comfort Products Prosthetic Sheaths offer great comfort and durability in one single sheath. The objective when wearing a prosthetic sheath is to reduce any shear stresses or rubbing along specific areas of your residuum. Simply drinking your morning coffee or having a Coke or Pepsi at lunch can cause natural volume changes leading to discomfort. As a prosthetic user you can address this discomfort by using a friction fighting sheath. The stretchable nylon and polyester construction offers a snug fit that safeguards your limb against friction caused by socket looseness. Sheaths function as a barrier to perspiration and Comfort Stump Sheaths are no exception.

Benefits

  • Reinforced toe area for greater wear resistance
  • Worn under your liner, sheaths reduce friction and help manage sweat.
  • Sheaths worn over your liner help protect it and minimize friction.
  • Comfort Prosthetic Sheaths wick sweat and fight friction
  • Unique open mesh design conforms to your residual limb better and adds ventilation
  • Prosthetic Sheath uses turned welt construction that provides strength where it is needed most
  • Offered in AK and BK sizes
  • Made in the USA
  • Sold (6) Prosthetic Sheaths per sealed polybag

Suggested Use

Prosthetic sheaths were initially intended to prevent friction and are often used to also wick perspiration. A sheaths nylon construction allows moisture to pass through the sheath and lay on the outside surface away from your skin. It's ability to wick sweat and manage friction makes this product a great way to keep your skin safe from injuries.

How-to Use

Most prosthetic users will add a prosthetic sheath against their skin, regardless if they wear a prosthetic liner or similar. Adding a prosthetic sock between two prosthetic sheaths magnifies a sheaths ability to fight friction and wick moisture.
