When would I want to use a stump sheath?

As a prosthetic user, you will want to consider a stump sheath when either socket friction or sweating becomes overwhelming.  A stump sheath is a relatively inexpensive prosthetic product to experiment with in your quest to regain prosthetic comfort.  If  you wear a vacuum system with a pump, a stump sheath is mandatory in preventing debris and lint from clogging the exhaust valve inside your prosthetic socket. And last, a prosthetic sheath can become your favorite tool for sliding into your prosthetic leg on days when your limb is slightly swollen.  The slick nylon sheath material will negate most opposing friction.
