STEP 1: Top & Bottom

Measure the circumference 2 inches up from the end of your residual limb. Continue to STEP 2: Find your size

Designed to reduce wear on outside of liners and make donning easy.

STEP 2: Find your size

Take both your top and bottom circumferences and use the chart to determine your size. If you're in-between sizes, we suggest remeasuring again to be on safe side.

Measuring Tips

When taking body measurements, you need to use the correct type of tape measure. You will want to use a soft cloth or flexible plastic tape measure, similar to what a seamstress uses. Do not use a metal measuring tape, used in construction (your measurements will be inaccurate). The most difficult measurement is the bottom measurement. Too often, people measure too high along the bottom of their limbs producing a larger "Bottom" measurement. Ideally, measure 2 inches up from the bottom of your limb and use a pen to mark this level on your limb. Once you know exactly where to measure, use a tape measure to carefully measure your bottom circumference.

Hole-In-Toe Prosthetic Sheath Description

Knit-Rite Prosthetic Hole-In-Toe Sheaths help control friction and preserve skin integrity. Simply add the Hole-In-Toe Sheath to your morning donning ritual to lessen friction within the socket. Add this prosthetic sheath over or in-between your prosthetic socks to alleviate rubbing and skin irritation. Don’t make your prosthetic sheath work overtime by pulling it too taut and not wearing enough sock ply. Socket looseness, from lack of sock ply, for some amputees can increase rubbing. Applying a Hole-in-Toe prosthetic sheath directly over your liner will minimize wear by absorbing shear stress and friction within your socket.

Benefits

  • Sized for Below-Knee (BK) amputees
  • Intended for use with locking prosthetic liners to reduce friction
  • Prosthetic sheath reduces friction between your prosthetic liner and socket
  • Increases lifespan of your prosthetic liner by reducing outside wear
  • Nylon sheath construction lessens rubbing within your prosthetic leg
  • Made in the USA
